Christmas at Trentham

We spent out first boxing day up at Trentham.

Most of the trees are still alive. We have lost some through the heavy rains – some camellias drowned, and a whole bunch of orange blossoms drowned. Basically the  pond out the back over flowed, and all the water comes down the south side of out block. Because  the block is so flat, the water did not drain away very well, so many of the orange blossoms were half under water.

Also, because of the continuos humidity changes, some of the magnolias are taking a hit, as are some of the maples.

Here are some random pics from the block.

There are lots of ducks living in the pond out the back.

Time to cut some grass.
