Temporary fixing of the roof sheeting

When I covered in the ‘holes’ in the roof where the other three dormers are to go, I needed to fix the plywood sheeting down. There are 4 sheets required for each ‘hole’. So, I got on a ladder on the floor inside, lifted the bottom sheet up, and nailed the top half go the sheet to the rafters at either end. I didn’t worry about the bottom half of the sheet, as the nails in the top half were sufficient for the few weeks that these sheets would be in place.
Then I repeated this process for the next 2 sheets, over lapping the sheets as I went. I used two long nails sticking out of the rafters as stoppers to prevent the sheets from sliding down the roof while I nailed them in place.

The last (top) sheet however is the problem for two of the three remaining holes, because the sheeting on the opposite pitch of the roof stops me from getting up on a ladder and leaning over to nail in the remaining sheet.
So I needed to fix the sheet down from the inside somehow. The solution proved remarkably simple – some makeshift brackets formed out of hoop iron, and some screws.
